The Warrior Group Revealed

Episode 3 concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of heroes who will separate from the central cast to begin their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team features Teor (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

This explains, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.

Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem out of place, but the events of the third episode show why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the team knows exactly where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose death initiated the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then paid off his debts and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each adventurer has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, desires retribution.
  • The adventurer is familiar with the northern area and cautions that it is a hostile location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could assist the party reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are wanted by the rulers that control the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in pursuit of the antagonist.
